In general, system identification assumes the availability of data free from systematic errors like scale factor, zero shift bias and time lags. However, in practice, the data is often corrupted by such errors. This post describes a method to check the compatibility of data with the system identification models.

Before using the raw flight test data, it is often necessary and time-saving to verify whether the recorded data are compatible.

The basis for verifying the compatibility of measured data are is the use of kinematic relationships.
